David Huff – Physical Education
I am excited to be returning to Holston View as the full time Physical Education teacher after being an interim for over a year. I look forward to continuing to work with the students and parents in the community. My goal is to help the students learn the importance of being active during their youth and continuing that physical activity for the rest of their lives promoting better, healthier lifestyles. I want each child to look forward to coming to PE class ready to learn new games, physical activities, and healthy habits.
I was born in Indiana where I spent part of my childhood. My mom, dad and I moved to Rich Valley, Virginia while I was still in elementary school. I remained in Virginia until I graduated from Northwood High School and headed off to college. I began my college years at Milligan College in Elizabethton, TN and played on the golf team. I enjoyed a year at Milligan, but decided King University would better meet my needs as a college student; therefore, I changed universities and pursued my degree at King University in Physical Education. I graduated in December 2014 and have worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement while looking for a job in my field of study. I have been married to my wife Meghan for nearly three years. She has been a strong supporter of me and my dream of becoming a physical education teacher. Outside of my time at school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, working out, playing sports, spending time with my little girl, Amelia.
