Thank you for following the temporary traffic pattern this morning for drop off.  At 7:55 this morning students were allowed to exit cars in the front circle at our covered walk ways.  This was due to heavy rain and large puddles at sidewalk entrances.

In case of severe weather (heavy rains or snow), we may use this traffic pattern again.  If this alternate drop off is used for car riders, preschool parents will be permitted to go around to the back of the building to sign in and drop off.  In case of a temporary traffic change, the front circle will be open after buses have unloaded.  A school administrator or staff member will direct the new traffic pattern should we need a temporary solution again in the future.

A few reminders about our car line & afternoon dismissal that will keep things MOVING ALONG:

  • Pull up all the way up to the end of the sidewalk for drop off.  This allows for maximum number of student to unload.
  • Drivers - please stay in your car.  Students may exit the vehicle on their own or staff and safety patrols will open doors for students to exit vehicles (exceptions – 2 door cars & 2 door trucks).
  • Students should exit the vehicle with backpacks and lunch boxes in hand.
  • You are welcome to walk your child to the exterior door, please park in a designated space and walk your child across the street.
  • POD C&D students (4th-6th & CDC) should enter at the POD C&D side of the building (families with students in multiple grade levels can choose either POD C&D or POD A& B side of the building)
  • It is not permissible to pass a parked bus loaded with students  – please do not pull in the front circle during dismissal.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping traffic moving along and for keeping our students safe!
