We are making plans now to celebrate the first coast-to-coast solar eclipse in 99 years on Monday, August 21. We are creating lessons and exciting activities and have even purchased special eclipse glasses for all students and employees to make the very most of this once-in-a-lifetime event! While we are excited to share the learning opportunity with students, the sun and moon decided to put on the best part of the show in the midst of afternoon dismissal time for us. So in order for students to enjoy the eclipse safely, with adult supervision, we are extending the school day for one hour. Students will be bringing home information with all the details. The information may also be obtained here. Please read the details carefully and contact your child’s school if you still have questions.
